What is a clitoral orgasm?

A Clitoral Orgasm is the most common of all female orgasms and the “go to” type for most masturbating women.

These wonderful orgasms erupt courtesy of the unique and powerful clitoral organ. The clitoris is crammed with thousands of tiny nerve endings and the clitoral organ contains erectile tissue. The head of the clitoris is the non-identical twin of the penis head, but the nerves are so tightly packed in the clitoris; that it is way more sensitive than its male counterpart.

It is technically fairly easy to trigger an orgasm in the clitoral area; that is, of course, if you have the right technique. As men are masters of their penises, women are masters of their clitorises. Your woman will know what clitoral moves she likes; so be sure to ask her.

The clitoral orgasm is mainly confined to the genital area and is generally a short and hard type of orgasm. The clitoral organ hardens and expands during arousal and then releases during orgasm; much like the penis. These orgasms are not as earth shattering as vaginal or G Spot orgasms, but they do feel amazing.

On careful inspection you will notice that the clitoral organ is much larger than it appears on the outside and extends above and below the clitoris. During arousal, have a gentle feel over the clitoral area and you will notice how large, hard and rigid it has become.

Recognisinga clitoralorgasm

It can sometimes be difficult to know whether a woman has had a clitoral orgasm. Women respond “orgasmicaly” to a variety of stimulations and can moan and pant during arousal, it can therefore be tricky to know if she has orgasmed. The only real way to know is by having an honest and open conversation with your partner.

One excellent way to witness one is by asking your partner to masturbate in front of you; only, of course, if she is comfortable doing so. Many women can bring about a clitoral orgasm easily, so it is the perfect way to observe one in action. Our Show Me, Teach Me Guide in our Tantra section is an excellent “hands on” exercise to learn what your woman likes; with the added bonus of you getting to show her what you like.

Before you begin your clitoral orgasm journey, it helps to know the basic external signs of clitoral arousal and orgasm. Look out for the following signs whilst practising:
